Who are Stithians Beaver Scouts?

Stithians Beaver Scouts are young people usually aged between 6 and 8 years old. They belong to the first and youngest Section in the Scouting family. Young people can join Stithians Beaver Scouts at years old.

Stithians Beaver Scouts enjoy making friends, playing games, arts and crafts, going outside, going on visits, helping others and earning lots of badges.

They meet together once a week in Stithians Beaver Scout Colony at the Stithians Resource Centre.

Beavers can move up to the next section, Stithians Cub Scouts, between the ages of 8 and years old.

Beaver Scouts also take part in sleepovers. These are often the first time a young person spends a night away from home.

Sleepovers take place in suitable buildings, often Scout centres, for 1 night only. Beaver Scouts do not camp overnight under canvas.
