Stithians Scout Group

After 5 months of hard work Stithians Scout Group was reformed in June 2008.

The first section to be formed was the youngest, the Beavers, whose ages range from 6 to 8½ years old. The first meeting of the Beaver Colony attracted 14 very enthusiastic youngsters from in and around Stithians. The colony soon grew to its maximum number of 24 by the end of the year.

At the start of 2009 planning started in earnest for the next section, Cub scouts as many of the Beavers had now reached 8 years old. With the recruitment of more leaders we were able to open the Stithians Cub Pack in April 2009. The initial members of the Cub Pack were 8 of the older Beavers, the Pack is steadily growing in size with more moving up from the Beaver Colony and others joining who had been too old to join the Beavers.

The Beaver Colony has already seen 10 of it's members move on to the Cub Pack, but they are being replaced by new members and the group as a whole continues to grow.
